San Antonio, Texas - San Antonio based Southside Craft Soda has begun distribution of their first bottled soda TexaCola in Austin and surrounding areas. The crafted cola is inspired by co-founders Andrew Anguiano and Gregg Spickler's South Texas roots. Made with Mexican pure cane sugar, Rio Grande Valley citrus and infused with local honey, TexaCola evokes a refreshing confluence of flavors found in the region.
"Gregg and I both came from craft beer and felt that we could create a soda that had great taste. San Antonio and South Texas have a history of innovating and blending diverse flavors, we are just following in that tradition," states Andrew Anguiano, CEO and Co-Founder. TexaCola's profile is reminiscent of a Mexican style cola that finishes with a carefully crafted citrus blend. The honey is subtle but adds a natural nuance to the overall sweetness.
TexaCola is now in over 14 Austin H-E-Bs, as well as, stores in Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Pflugerville, San Marcos, Bee Cave, Kyle. Additional locations include Central Market, Thoms Market, East 1st Grocery, Bee Grocery, Stereotype Bar and Dai Due at the Fareground. Southside Craft Soda hopes to continue to expand in Austin and anticipates increase in sampling and participating in area events. "We are a Texas product and want to share our story and our soda with as many Texans as possible. We think Austin is a great fit for our soda," concluded Anguiano. The company plans on developing other bubbly concoctions including the soon to be released Limoncito and BeeVille Honey Vanilla.
